Junior Sales Engineer



As a Junior Sales Engineer, you will screen a high volume of communication from interested applications and route to the appropriate sales vertical. This includes talking to high ranking members at restaurants, applications, and POS companies. You will support and learn from other Sales Engineers as an essential part of our sales process.




  • Technically and objectively qualify inbound leads
  • Effectively respond to customer technical inquiries in a timely manner
  • Act as a technical advisor for assigned accounts
  • Assure new customers are able to fully engage with the API, and if not, assist in troubleshooting to assure customers success
  • Assist in communicating Omnivore system changes to all dedicated accounts
  • Facilitate communication with Omnivore’s Support Team to assure installations are successful
  • Assist Marketing team in sending drip campaigns through SF
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple internal departments (business, support, product, operations)




  • Basic understanding of restaurant applications (Delivery apps vs loyalty apps vs payment apps)
  • Basic understanding of how an API works
  • 1 year experience configuring POS systems or 2+ years restaurant industry experience
  • Ability to handle high volume of qualification calls
  • Experience in a fast paced "start-up" environment
  • Able to effectively communicate via email, phone, and in person
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Zendesk (or other support ticketing system)
  • Experience working in a remote or telecommute environment
