Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer, you will be the "technical voice of the customer". This means understanding specific customer needs, translating them into technical terms, and relaying them back to the product team. Additionally, you will act as the technical guide to on-boarding new customers. 

A successful Sales Engineer will be able to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, is highly organized, and has the ability to think outside the box. The solution you are looking for may not exist yet, how do you get from a problem with no known solution to a fully baked resolution?


  • Participate on sales calls with account owners as the technical representative
  • Document specific needs of new customers as it relates to Omnivore's implementation process
  • Relay any new feature requests from customers to the Product team, and assess where it gets prioritized
  • Relay new features to customers as they are available in production
  • Own communication on bug fixes to specific customers impacted

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have 3-4 years of technical experience in the point of sale industry
  • Must have knowledge of API’s and/or JSON
  • 2-3 years working in the restaurant space
  • Must have experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Understanding of development lifecycle
  • Must be willing to travel 30% of time to customer offices
  • Good sense of humor!

Nice to Haves

  • Basic understanding of PCI best practices and general security standards
    • If no experience, do you know where to find the information?
  • Experience working remotely while still adhering to performance standards
