Director of Sales, Apps - West Coast

We're looking for an experienced candidate to join our team focusing on expanding our app developer community. You will be responsible for working with our largest and most strategic customers. In this role, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by building long-term strategic relationships, ensuring the customer’s experience is transformative for their business. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing app developer partnerships across a variety of verticals. The ideal candidate already has deep industry relationships and fluent with SaaS partnership selling.


  • Prospect, acquire and manage portfolio of App Developer customers
  • Execute and maintain company sales processes, from lead to close
  • Maintain pipeline and provide accurate ongoing forecasts
  • Meet or exceed personal and company monthly/quarterly/annual objectives
  • Implement company tools and resources to support sales activities
  • Partner effectively with Product, Engineering, Customer Success and other key teams
  • Influence product strategy and priorities by providing app developer qualitative insights
  • Help evangelize a marketplace that identifies, informs, engages and rewards partners
  • Implement customer reviews to evaluate needs and strategic direction
  • Continually assess, document, and analyze customer progress to meet goals
  • This role currently reports to the Chief Business Officer

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of account management, sales or implementation experience at a software/SaaS company; app developer partnerships a plus
  • BA/BS degree; MBA or other relevant advanced degree a plus
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of internal and external constituencies including senior level executives, legal, technical, finance, sales and marketing
  • Organizational, project management, time management and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Preferred geographic location: San Francisco Bay Area
